The Official Guernsey Battle of Britain Air Display Website

Display Information

 Display Venue

The Guernsey Air Display is held over the east coast of the island, with what must be arguably the best backdrop for any Air Display in the world.

The Display line is set off the harbour of St Peter Port, with aircraft flying north and south along the line. This gives spectators lots of vantage points from the north of the island, along the east coast, right down to the south coast cliffs.

The best views of the Display can be achieved from the White Rock pier, the Castle Breakwater (by the lighthouse) and the East Breakwater, which are all located near St Peter Port Harbour.

Air Display Safety - Spectators

Public safety and that of the show participants is our primary concern.  The Display Organisers make every effort to reduce the risk from the Display to as low a level as reasonably practical - after all, flying always has a certain element of risk.  In the unfortunate event of an incident, please obey any instructions issued by Emergency Services’ personnel, the Harbour Master’s staff, and/or RAFA members acting in an official capacity.  Every effort should be made to allow access to incident sites.

Let’s hope the weather is good to us; but in any case, please remember to dress accordingly - come rain, wind or shine.  Be careful when watching from the piers and when crossing the car parks.

Air Display Safety - Boat Owners

Thanks to the co-operation of boat owners, and that of the Harbour Master and his staff, the Display area has been largely undisturbed over the years.  Should boats infringe the Display area then the Display Director has to consider the effect on the Display item in progress and, if necessary, stop all flying.  So please, could boat owners continue their excellent conduct and refrain from sailing in or out of St Peter Port during the Display, and not attempt to watch the Display from the sea.
